p>Upload osCommerce to a folder on your web site. You may name the folder oscommerce or store. Navigate to your install folder with your browser with an address similar to this: http://www.virtualkeeper.com/oscommerce/install/install.php The install software will show you a list of checkmarks in green denoting the proper function of the server. The second screen will ask you for information to set up your account in your SQL server and that information is below: Hostname is: localhost Username is: root The Password is the one chosen during your installation of mySQL. After completing the steps to install the software, you will need to delete the install folder, open up your file manager via the Control Panel of your server, navigate to includes/configuration.php and change the permissions under Mode to 444. That should take care of setting up the software for your store. Now you just have to start entering your store information and you are ready to go.
